Subject Contents

Engineering Science

Engineering Science teaches scientific principles, the use of correct science terminology, application of SI units, use of symbols, formulas and abbreviations.

Mathematics

The content is presented with an engineering approach in conjunction with a highly supported integrated dimension for the other three subjects that follow. The mathematical subject provides an opportunity to gain a better understanding and enhance practical skills in a work environment.

Fitting and Machining

This subject teaches learners how to operate and monitor drilling machines, milling machines, surface grinding machines and lathes. It also includes welding/joining of metals, heat exchangers and maintenance.

Electrical Trade Theory

Educate students regarding electrical wiring of buildings, stationary machines and related equipment. Electricians may be equipped in the installation of new electrical components or the maintenance and repair of existing electrical infrastructure, domestic and/or businesses. Electricians may also specialise in wiring ships, airplanes and other mobile platforms as well as data and cable.
